What Is Mind Aid?
& how we started
Mind Aid is a mini city wide festival which merges a permanent visual arts exhibition with a series of talks, mindful practices and dynamic workshops.
Mind Aid has been carefully designed to allow the daily passer-by the ability to access a new tool or technique which they can add to their arsenal in combatting the day-to-day adversities we can all face at times.
For some, those challenging times are more frequent than they would like.
Mind Aid began as a small project in 2022 by friends Joey Dean, Jeanne Gagniere and Ross Williams who were living and working in New Zealand during the global pandemic.
Finally the trio have returned home to the UK and ready to build upon what they’ve learned and take it to the next level
Where are we?
Mind Aid is rooted in a visual arts exhibition space at The Undercroft Gallery, on Norwich Market Place. It features mixed-media artworks which explore the necessities of understanding and easing our inner minds.
These works will be reflective of each artist’s own struggle with the subject and project a healing, ambient light outwards into the gallery space.
Once a visitor steps into the space they will immediately feel safe and at ease.
Then the work can begin as a daily schedule of free activities, talks and workshops will take each participant on a journey of self-discovery within the safety of the exhibition itself.
Using the timetable provided, participants can select events they are interested in.
Using our online booking system, each participant can secure a place and attend their chosen event throughout the week of Mind Aid 25th - 31st March.
